In July\'s episode of Hurling in North America News, we take a look at the highest altitude hurling tournament (maybe in the world), an unbelievable save that made Sports Illustrated headlines, a historic Southern California camogie match, and a BBC Gaeilge feature of Los Angeles Hurling.

Clubs featured this month:
Denver Gaels, Rumble In The Rockies, OC Wild Geese, San Diego Na Fianna Camogie, Play Hurling Los Angeles, Coastal Virginia GAA, San Francisco GAA
Club of the month:
Coastal Virginia GAA who took over the Play Hurling Instagram and Facebook accounts for a week in July.
Perhaps the most interesting stat from the takeover is that 70% of their club is comprised of 1st responders, shipyard personnel and retired, veteran and active duty military personnel, with the rest of their club having some connection to the military. There\'s a definite crossover with the mindset in hurling and camogie!
Make sure to give Coastal Virginia GAA a follow to keep up with their club!
